The Turtle Team is an ethnographic film about the work of the Sea Turtle Conservation Team at Osa Conservation, Costa Rica. The organization is an exciting crossway of conservation efforts and scientific research. I conducted an 11-week period of visual ethnographic research while also being a short-term intern in the Turtle Team and working on the beach for 3-4 nights or mornings per week. The purpose of this research is to create an understanding of the hard work of conservation fieldwork and how scientific research is conducted in this field.
